Because of what happened in FFXIV, I will be freezing my account here as well. I don't need to fund any money to SE for now. I'll probably be back if the game is still around in a few years. I will miss the game.

Promathia Fight

just wanted to show off some new even clothes and taking over West Ronfaure. yay Windurst lol

we gather in Port Jueno to do some Limbus first

a little scary because the summoners brought out elementals and did their 2 hours and almost wiped everyone. Thanks for phalanx and stoneskin from Aiedan.

after limbus we prepared for Promthia

this was a mage kite fight. I got two close on his second form and he killed me lol. fight lasted 10 minutes... not too bad. I had video, but its mostly me chasing his feet since he's so huge... so it's not that great to upload... maybe I'll change my mind.

now to get to 80 and then get 4 merit points to do the next limit break... ugh... haha

Gabriell wanted to kill Diablos Prime but we haven't done it so we went in and did some overkill on it

Limbus 8/22/10

we do limbus now every Sunday, except last weekend we were a little busy. We went to universal studios =) Arael went up to San Francisco to visit Evajo.



Namicat who's been MIA for awhile showed up and helped us on Limbus even though it's so late where he's at. below are some videos I took.

First Limbus

So we finished the CoP missions needed to get into Limbus. We did pretty good and if I'm not mistaken... nobody died.

Below is a boss video we took out to drop cool items to upgrade AF

Magian Moogle Trials Polearm

so these trials are free weapons you get but they pretty much are horrible until you complete the quests. in the beginning you have to kill like 50 birds with weather on... and then so on.

I am going for lower evasion. The path I took now shows the effect.



So I had thought I had to kill the 250 sheeps... but it's more like make the effect happen 250 times on a sheep. this video shows the faster way to do it where I just wait for the effect to wear off and then attack it so the effect goes back on. repeat until the sheep dies. I use the TP to kill the chigoe so it doesn't interrupt me. I save jumps for those just in case moments.



I'm happy I finished it and got to the one prior to level 80. I need to be level 80 and then I'll work on it again.

Nyzul Isle and then leveling

So today we decided to do some floors. Our first run we did pretty well. We fought Fafnir with not much problem and time to spare. During the fight, Aiedan got hit with terror and below is the video of his goofy pose. We got a staff that nobody wanted and was hoping for something cool. Oh well next time.



We did more floors and by floor 51 I noticed Drakesbane was an option yay! After our 4th run we got bad luck and we ended up dieing.



Bio and Poison took us out one by one. I eventually died and Karuroo did not have enough MP to remove them for everyone. Because of this, Gabriell said she should sub Scholar. Then we found out that her Scholar is only 12. So we went to the dunes to level. Before that I went to Jueno to unlock Drakesbane for all polearms besides the crappy Radiant Lance I've been holding for so long. I feel so happy yay! Took almost forever and I'm finally glad it's over. Roughly 2700 skill points had to be acquired to get it for me. Oh man...



At the dunes are setup was pretty good and we were leveling pretty fast. About 25K/hour and I got to level up to 78 yatta!



Our highest Chain was 7 which is not bad.



Then everyone logged and Karuoo's scholar went from level 12 to 19 ready for Qufim. and I got 78 which I can go buy the Perl set that everyone is getting because of the new expansion. I spent about 100K the whole set which is not too shabby.



We did pretty good today and of course alot of fun. Laughed and cried today. lol

The Warrior's Path

In order to do Limbus we need Sea Access...

We finally were able to gather and finish CoP 7-5 The Warrior's Path.



The first time we did this, for some reason the wireless router died. Karuroo and I R0 and then the rest of our party wiped. Everyone was tired so we logged but this time we were at our home and ready for this fight.



Party Setup is PLD, BLM, WHM, RDM, WAR and DRG. Goal was to zerg Tenzen before he sets off some major weapon skills.



but I messed up Arael's weapon skill chain and Tenzen did a critical weapon skill on him and one shot him. I then 2HR and did everything I could to take him down.

Sorry bro.



After we finished that we had tons of cut scenes and then transported to sea.



we went to do a mini-quest to get the map of sea



of course after we got the map, I didn't pay attention to the shark beneath me and it aggro and killed me. Karuroo tried to tele out but wasn't fast enough.

After that I wanted to get money since we lost so much. Went to do Titan Prime



Did a weapon skill while he started Earthen Fury... I could not super jump in time and wamo! lol

Anyways, did pretty well. Looking forward to do some Limbus now.

Limit Break

happy that I finished the limit break. 3 Merit points (10,000 exp per Merit) and 5 Kindred Seals. Not too hard but just time consuming.

so I'm thinking I should use the printscreen function a little more and possibly start using fraps or something to make my blog better. I went to check my screenshots but nothing worthwhile to upload.

Disaster Doll NM - fight went better this time.

Drg75/Nin37, Whm75/Blm37 with both our adventure fellow out. This time I told the wife to not sleep or do anything.

blink helped out a whole lot and I survived it more and wife didn't have to heal as much but when fireaga III hit.. it hurt. aroudn 50% I lost my wyvern and adventure fellow.

finished the fight with about 800 hp and the wife had 100 mp. hate control was a bit hard and I told the wife not to do cure II or III unless he's doing fireaga so I can get stoneskin b4 the attack and not KO.

So went did the cutscenes and the next fight was 3 UFO things. I over estimated how difficult the fight as and had the wife repose etc... I even poppped food and got my adventure fellow out again etc... It was pretty easy and then the wife did holy for 800 dmg... I was like WTF... she could have taken one and I could have taken two just fine.

So we are all caught up on the mission.


Talk to the brother in law and he wants my blm up to at least 30. Leveled a little bit syncing with the wife.

did 25blm/12rdm and she did 23nin/6cor. did two pages in marshlands and got bored within an hr.

So today is suppose to be a 60mb update... sounds like fun. Depending on what happens tomorrow I will level with my brother that hasn't played in like 2 weeks. Maybe get his BLM to 40 or something.

5-3T3: Pride and Honor

Started these quest on Monday and completed Ulmia and Louverance Paths and half way of Tenzen's path.

Last night we tried to fight the Disaster Doll NM.

I went as Drg75/Sam37 and the wife went as Whm75/Blm37.

We popped it early on Firesday and I summoned my adventure fellow. Sleep and Repose was resisted by the doll so when it casted Firega III... it was very painful even with barfira. Normal attacks were hitting a lot and I had siegan and 3rd eye up going at it.

Communication was off here because I said my adveture fellow casted Dia II so don't try to sleep it when it starts casting Firega III. Wife ran out of MP quick and I 2hr around 20% and then died fast after that.

About to quit we walked to the outpost outside after RB3. I read that the doll is weaker at 19:00 so we went back to try again.

This time I didn't have my wyvern up because of 2hr but it was going to come back in about 2 minutes. I didn't have my adventure fellow either.

It did indeed hit less and hit me less and I was able to knock off about 5-8% per penta thrusts.

however the firaga III was painful and I tried to stop it with a leg sweep and it did not work and it hurt bad. wife threw cure III and pulled hate. i couldn't get it off her and she died which lead to my death. we got it to about 40% that time.




So new plan...

Drg75/Nin75 I should be able to throw NI up and prevent over cure. If that doesn't work, then maybe get brother in law's Smn75 to use Carby to pick it off and me as Rdm to cast refresh. long slow fight but it will get it done. or have both adventure fellows released and switch to full attack instead of support.

hopefully to get down and catch up on cutscenes so we can do the airship fight this weekend.
